Poland volleyball captain Aleksander Śliwka injures foot and is not training with the team

The club PGE Projekt Warszawa said that national team captain Aleksander Śliwka has a foot injury. Because of it, he is not training with the team.

The club's statement says that thanks to the quick reaction of the medical staff the problem was identified at a very early stage. The situation is developing and is being constantly monitored. The club also wrote that it will not take risks given the long season and is betting on the player's full health.

In an interview with WP SportoweFakty, Śliwka himself said that while off the court he tries to follow the matches and give his teammates advice. National team coach Nikola Grbić, according to the player himself, highly valued his contribution to the team's psychological atmosphere.
