More than 20 years ago, Krzysztof K., nicknamed “the Spaniard”, was shot dead in the Praga restaurant “Szemrana”. The prosecution believed that Jakub G. and Jacek G. committed the murder together, firing 10 shots, and that Konrad A. provided the weapon and the car. They did not admit guilt. The trial began in January 2025.
On Tuesday the Warsaw-Praga District Court acquitted all three. Judge Adam Radziszewski recalled that the Praga and Grochów gangs were feuding at the time, and that witnesses did not see the killers. The prosecution was built mainly on testimony from a former gang member who began cooperating with the investigation — testimony the court is obliged to assess especially carefully.
The ruling is not final.
