The film Lalka, directed by Maciej Kawalski, has drawn more than 2 million viewers to cinemas in its first three weeks in release. It has led the Polish box office for the third week in a row.

The film opened on 30 September with 682 prints, the largest distribution push in Poland since 1989. There are 534 cinemas in the country. Producer Radosław Drabik said the film will not appear on any streaming platform in the coming months.

Lalka is now the most-watched Polish film in cinemas in 2026, ahead of Piep*zyć Mickiewicza 3 (867,935 viewers). Among all films, including foreign ones, it ranks second, behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day (an estimated 2.6 million viewers).

TVN co-produced the film. TVN is owned by Skydance, which also owns TVN24.
