Bemowo and Ulrychów stations on the second metro line will close to passengers. The closure starts on the night of Friday 16 October into Saturday 17 October. The stations reopen after the night of Sunday 25 into Monday 26 October.
The reason is the connection of a new section of the M2 line to the existing network, and tests. During the tests, trains will run only as far as Księcia Janusza station. According to ZTM, Warsaw's public transport operator, acceptance checks by the building supervision authority will follow the tests and are expected in November. Passengers are expected to ride the first trains early next year.
ZTM lists replacement buses 149, 177, 714, 719, 729 and 743, whose routes will be extended to Księcia Janusza. Bus 184 will run between Nowe Bemowo and Księcia Janusza metro station, bus 249 will run more often, and line 149 will use articulated buses. Extra night bus N43 journeys will run between Osiedle Górczewska and Księcia Janusza metro station.
The Bemowo section is the last unfinished part of the line. It will include the stations Lazurowa, Chrzanów and Karolin, and the Mory depot.
