Legia's basketball players beat Cibona Zagreb 95:77 in a FIBA Champions League match. It is the Polish champions' first win in the competition: in round one the team lost 62:100 to Strasbourg in France.
Arguster Daniels and Kristers Zoriks scored 21 points each, while Gyorgy Goloman, Zach Freemantle and Markus Ilver also reached double figures. Legia won the rebounding battle 38:28, including 13 offensive rebounds.
Coach Heiko Rannula's team led from the start of the game; in the first quarter the score reached 21:10. In the fourth quarter Cibona cut the gap to seven points (77:70), after which Legia scored nine points in a row.
As SportoweFakty writes, the win matters for the fight to advance from the group.
