Lewandowski plays for Chicago Fire straight after national team camp and provides an assist

Robert Lewandowski, 38, returned to Chicago after the Poland national team camp and was ready to play. Chicago Fire beat Vancouver Whitecaps, leaders of the MLS Western Conference, 3-1: the team went ahead as early as the 9th minute and then controlled the game.

Lewandowski took part in the third goal: instead of shooting, he passed to Maren Haile-Selassie, who sealed the win. It is Chicago's second game in a row without defeat after a difficult period.

Tim Hotze, author of an analysis on the fan site meninred97.com, noted that after a star moves to MLS the question always remains of how involved he will be. “Levi dispelled that doubt: he cares,” he wrote.
