Poland's women's under-17 team lost 1:6 (0:4) to North Korea in their second Group B match at the World Cup held in Morocco. Earlier the Poles beat Nigeria 2:1. On Friday the team plays Puerto Rico.

The only goal for coach Paulina Kawalec's side was scored by Nicola Gałuszka half a minute into the second half; she came on as a substitute at the break. According to Polsat Sport, the Poles spent most of the match defending.

North Korea won the two previous World Cups in this age group and are unbeaten at the tournament for 15 matches in a row, including the 2024 quarter-final against Poland (1:0).

The two best teams from each group and the four best third-placed teams advance to the knockout stage. The tournament features 24 teams; the final and the third-place match will be played on 7 November.
