According to Statistics Poland (GUS) data for October 2026, both main indicators of consumer sentiment declined. The current consumer confidence index (BWUK) stood at −14.0, 3.2 points lower than in September; all of its components worsened.

The assessment of Poland's future economic situation fell the most, by 7.6 points, and the assessment of the current situation in the economy by 6.9 points. Compared with October 2025, the current index is 3.1 points lower.

Household finances are assessed as markedly more stable: the assessment of the ability to make major purchases fell 1.3 points, expectations for households' future finances 0.5, and the assessment of the current financial position 0.1. The pessimism concerns above all the general state of the economy rather than people's own budgets.
