A pocket park will open on Andersa Street in central Warsaw in 2027

In 2027 residents of Śródmieście will get a new pocket park on Andersa Street, near Muranowska. The area of about 4,500 square metres will lie between the tram tracks and residential buildings, from the Muranowska 08 stop to the building at 16 Andersa Street.

The project includes new walking paths, a bike lane along the tram tracks, benches and seats, picnic tables and bike racks. Fifteen 'Rebona' elms, almost 800 shrubs and 500 perennials will be planted. The plants should reduce the noise from trams and cars.

Construction will take a year. It will be the eleventh pocket park in the capital: nine were created from the civic budget and one with a private partner under the Green Fund for Warsaw.
