The Sejm Committee on Constitutional Responsibility has adopted a preliminary motion to bring the president of the National Bank of Poland, Adam Glapiński, before the State Tribunal.
According to the head of the KO parliamentary club, Zbigniew Konwiński, the committee kept eight charges. They include indirect financing of the budget deficit, acting without proper authorisation of the Monetary Policy Council, unlawful currency interventions, misleading the finance minister and breaching the principle of political neutrality.
Deputy committee chair Iwona Arent (PiS) said that none of the witnesses confirmed the accusations. PiS and Rozwój Plus filed dissenting opinions.
