According to Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński, a man who threatened Prime Minister Donald Tusk and planned to attack him has been detained. Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesman for the minister-coordinator of special services, said police received information about a possible attack on Tusk and on Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. He said the case is being treated “deadly seriously” and that there is a “high probability” the threats would be carried out.

A meeting was held at the ABW Counter-Terrorism Centre with representatives of the police, the State Protection Service and ABW. Minister-Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak and Minister Kierwiński gave instructions on the case.

Tusk wrote on the social network X that he thanks police officers for their quick and decisive action.
