Tusk comments on new expert findings in the Pegasus case

Tusk called the findings of ABW experts in the Pegasus case “the sensation of the last few hours”. The information comes from the National Prosecutor's Office.

According to the experts, the CBA did not have full control of the system: the agency did not hold passwords for some accounts with administrator rights, and some elements remained under the control of the producer, a private Israeli company. The server module that infected mobile devices was under the producer's exclusive control.

Data sent by the system passed through an anonymising network with servers in different countries, run by the producer. Updates and maintenance were carried out remotely, and operational controls were not suspended during this work.

The prosecutor's office stresses that the experts' findings do not establish whether the producer actually accessed the materials from specific operational controls.
