Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak (Confederation) presented the party's healthcare proposals in Gorzów Wielkopolski on Saturday. In his view, increasing spending on the system will not by itself solve the problems without control over how the money is spent.

Among the proposals are a system for recording doctors' working time during duty shifts, which he called “tachographs”, and more places at medical faculties and in specialisations. Universities, he said, should first of all train doctors to work in Poland. Graduates who leave the country after free education should, under his proposal, reimburse the state for the costs; this refers to a work contract of at least several years.

The text also says that the government is preparing a law under which doctors' working time will be limited to 320 hours a month. Health Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda spoke about the details of the law in the second half of September. A separate regulation is meant to speed up and make more precise the transmission of data on medics' working time to the NFZ.
