On Friday, 9 October, at about noon, services evacuated some passengers at Warsaw Chopin Airport and restricted access to certain terminal zones. The cause was baggage left unattended. Police confirmed that the actions were connected with checking it.

According to the airport press office, the restrictions affected the arrivals level, the CDE zones at the departures level and two access roads. Take-offs and landings continued. Police reported limited traffic and congestion, but access to the airport remained possible.
