On the night of Saturday 24 to Sunday 25 October 2026 Poland switches from summer time to winter time: at 3:00 the clocks go back to 2:00. Because of this, 14 PKP Intercity long-distance trains, including international ones, will make additional stops of about an hour at stations — otherwise they would arrive at the next stations an hour ahead of the winter-time timetable. The stops are planned only at stations, not on the open line.
The carrier stresses that these are not delays: passengers will reach their destinations on schedule, although the actual journey time will be longer. The longest stop is for the IC Ursa from Przemyśl to Berlin: arrival at 2:22 summer time, departure at 3:19 winter time, that is 117 minutes.
The list also includes trains serving the capital: the IC Karkonosze Warszawa Wschodnia–Szklarska Poręba Górna will stop in Kalisz (arrival 2:25 summer time, departure 2:27 winter time), while the train in the opposite direction will wait in Sieradz. The special timetable also applies to the TLK Ustronie Kraków–Kołobrzeg.
