Alert RCB for Warsaw: emergency services drills on ul. Czerniakowska, Syta and Jagiellońska on 20–21 October

On Monday, 19 October, the Government Centre for Security (RCB) sent Warsaw residents an Alert RCB: on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 October, emergency services drills will take place on ul. Czerniakowska, Syta and Jagiellońska. The message reads: “Drills: on 20–21.10, drills by the services will take place on ul. Czerniakowska, Syta and Jagiellońska in Warsaw. Stay calm. Follow the instructions of the services.”

Phones across all of Warsaw received the message, although the drills are planned in only three areas. The RCB did not disclose the exact time or scenario; there is no need to sign up for the system or install an app: the SMS goes to every phone in the alert zone.

This is a warning about planned drills, not about an evacuation or a real threat: the RCB has not indicated any obligation to leave homes. Those who live or work near these streets should watch for further messages from the services and follow their instructions.
