From Friday Pb95 petrol capped at 6.95 zloty, diesel at 8.03 zloty: new maximum prices

The Ministry of Energy has published maximum fuel prices for Friday, October 16. A litre of Pb95 petrol may cost no more than 6.95 zloty, which is 6 groszy less than on Thursday. Pb98 petrol will get 7 groszy cheaper per litre, and diesel 2 groszy cheaper, to 8.03 zloty.

On Wednesday the Pb95 cap stood at 7.11 zloty. Over two days the cap on Pb95 has fallen by 16 groszy per litre, and on Pb98 by 25 groszy. Diesel remains 1.08 zloty more expensive than Pb95.

The maximum prices are part of the Ceny Paliwa Nizej (CPN) programme, which has been running since October 3, 2026. The government introduced a temporary VAT cut on fuel from 23% to 8%, lower excise duty and maximum retail prices. Stations may not sell above the cap but may sell below it.
