On the Vistula Boulevards a 20-year-old man attacked a 13-year-old teenager with a telescopic baton

At an outdoor sports ground on the Vistula Boulevards (Bulwary Wiślane) under Most Świętokrzyski, a 20-year-old man approached a group of teenagers, behaved aggressively, pulled out a telescopic baton, grabbed a 13-year-old boy and began shaking him, threatening to beat him up. He did not stop even when the teenager tried to move away. The boy's friends and witnesses called the police and recorded part of the incident.

Police officers arrived within minutes and detained the 20-year-old Polish citizen; the baton was found on him. He was taken to the police station on ulica Wilcza; a breathalyser showed more than 2 per mille. Once sober, he was charged with making threats and violating bodily integrity — both acts classified as being of a hooligan nature.

At the request of the Prokuratura Rejonowa Warszawa-Śródmieście Północ (district prosecutor's office), the court remanded the suspect in custody for 2 months. The question of his criminal liability will be decided by the court.
