Prime Minister Donald Tusk responded to President Karol Nawrocki's interview with Rzeczpospolita. The president said he sees no drastic change in the Russian threat, called the prime minister's security statements a distribution of fear, and said that Grzegorz Braun's Confederation of the Polish Crown has parliamentary representation and support among voters, so it should be treated as present in politics.
Tusk wrote on X: Mr Karol Nawrocki stated that he sees no rise in the threat from Russia. He sees no problem with the presence of Braun and his pro-Russian party in Polish politics. Thanks for candour. The prime minister also called Braun's party pro-Russian.
The president has never publicly and officially criticised Braun's actions, including a protest he organised under the slogan Stop the Ukrainisation of Poland. The outlet recalls that on 7 October Braun and party representatives appeared in Lubmin, Germany, together with politicians from the AfD, and called on the German government to resume the Nord Stream project.
