CSIRE switchover will not happen on 19 October: operators keep the old rules

Stoen Operator, which handles electricity distribution in Warsaw, published a notice on 9 October about the Central Energy Market Information System (CSIRE). An assessment showed that a full launch on 19 October could cause disruptions in market processes. Enea Operator issued a similar notice.

After 19 October, market processes will continue under the previous rules. The system is to process data for about 20 million metering points in Poland. Full connection to CSIRE will take place when the energy market information operator and other participants reach the required level of readiness.

The material stresses that the problems concern IT and organisational processes, not power supply interruptions. The notices themselves do not introduce new charges for electricity.
