RCB cancels evening alert for Podkarpackie and Lublin voivodeships: no threat on Polish territory

On Tuesday, 20 October, at 9:13 p.m. the Government Security Centre (RCB) sent residents of Podkarpackie and Lublin voivodeships an alert: «Attention! Russian air attack on the territory of Ukraine. The situation is being monitored. Polish aviation is operating in Polish airspace. Expect further messages», tvn24.pl reports.

After 9:38 p.m. the alert was cancelled: «The air attack on Ukraine has ended. No threat on Polish territory».

It was not the first alert of the day. The first was sent after 5 a.m. and cancelled about an hour later. Residents received the next one before 10 a.m.; it was withdrawn after almost three hours. After 1 p.m. the RCB sent another, cancelled at 4:31 p.m. The fourth, about an «air threat», came at 3:27 p.m. and was cancelled 20 minutes later.
