Every school to hold a safety meeting before the end of the year

The ministries of education and the interior are launching a joint school safety programme, modelled on the “Edukacja z wojskiem” programme that the Ministry of Education runs together with the Ministry of Defence.

Education Minister Barbara Nowacka said that already this year every school will hold at least one meeting on how to act in crisis situations, for the whole school community, with representatives of services sent by the Ministry of the Interior.

In addition, from 1 September one homeroom period a month is devoted to patriotic or defence topics. Deputy minister Paulina Piechna-Więckiewicz added that a safety guide for children and teenagers will be sent to schools.
