Tusk orders police to enter schools at least once a day

After the attacks in Ostrołęka and Leszczydół-Nowiny, Prime Minister Donald Tusk asked Chief of Police Marek Boroń to order that, as part of regular patrols, officers enter schools at least once a day, without waiting for a call.

“Potential copycats should see that the police are nearby,” Tusk said. He admitted that not all attacks can be prevented, but sudden police visits should act as a deterrent.

The prime minister summoned the ministers of interior, digital affairs, education and health to an urgent meeting.
