On Monday, 12 October, at about 13:00, trams on lines 26 and 9 collided at the Wiatraczna loop in the Praga-Południe district. The line 26 tram, vehicle number 3210, partly came off the rails. No one was hurt. Heavy equipment is working on site.

Because the route is blocked, lines 3, 6, 9, 22, 24 and 26 are running on changed routes. Trams heading towards Washington Roundabout turn back at Aleja Zieleniecka; the other lines are cut short to the loop at Dworzec Wschodni on the Kijowska side. A replacement bus called Za Tramwaj runs from the Dw. Wschodni (Kijowska) 08 stop along Kijowska and Targowa, Aleja Zieleniecka and Aleja Waszyngtona to the Wiatraczna loop.

There are no official statements on the cause yet. Up-to-date information on diversions and the restoration of service is published by WTP, Warsaw Public Transport.
