Swietokrzyski Park, next to the Palace of Culture and Science and not far from Warsaw Central station and the Centrum metro station, is hosting the assembly and testing of a light installation. Warsaw mayor Rafal Trzaskowski wrote on social media: 'Assembly and testing continue. The year-round illumination of Swietokrzyski Park will light up on 15 October.'
The published photos show bright structures resembling giant butterflies, fantastical plants and luminous decorations. The alleys are lit up, and the installations stand out against the trees and the panorama of the city centre.
The first show is scheduled for Thursday, 15 October, after 18:00, when it gets dark. The city's preliminary announcement does not indicate that visitors need to book in advance. The illumination is year-round and is not a one-off decoration for a single October evening.
