Joan García returns to action, Szczęsny likely to be a substitute again

Barcelona goalkeeper Joan García has been cleared by doctors to return to action and will be available to coach Hansi Flick for Saturday's match against Getafe. The club announced this on the social network X.

Wojciech Szczęsny is also in the match squad, but the Pole's chances of playing are small. Dominik Livaković is also among the goalkeepers. According to the Spanish press, after García's return Szczęsny may drop to third in the pecking order.

García injured his knee on 16 September in the match against Racing Santander. Szczęsny was in goal from the start of the second half. Barcelona won that match 7-2. The club also considered the option that García would not recover in time, so four more goalkeepers were invited to train.
