Prime Minister Donald Tusk spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about the security of Poland and Ukraine amid Russian aggression. As Zelensky said on social media, Russia is intensifying attacks and actions aimed at destabilisation, and both countries must strengthen cooperation.

According to Tusk, after the conversation he is convinced of the determination of Ukraine and its president in the fight against aggression, and he assured that Poland and Europe are fully in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. Zelensky said that Ukraine's defence needs were also discussed, but he did not name a list of weapons or new deliveries.

The conversation took place before planned EU-level meetings in Brussels. The statements do not name specific decisions to be taken at these meetings and do not announce emergency measures.
