Tusk holds a meeting on school safety: around 20,000 police officers on patrol

On Monday, 12 October, a meeting on school safety was held at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Donald Tusk met ministers and representatives of the services and reported new detentions.

According to the Prime Minister, around 20,000 police officers continue to patrol schools and their surroundings. On Monday another 18 people were detained and checked.

Tusk said the situation online is calming down and the number of risky incidents and the tension after the recent attacks have fallen. However, the operation is not over: the interior minister has been instructed to continue the actions for as long as necessary.
