Lewandowski throws ceremonial first pitch before Chicago White Sox game

Robert Lewandowski, a forward for Chicago Fire, was a special guest of the MLB baseball club the Chicago White Sox and threw the ceremonial first pitch before the game at Rate Field in Chicago. It is a tradition of baseball games in the US: well-known athletes, actors and other celebrities are invited to it.

Before going out onto the field the 38-year-old Pole practised throws with the club's mascot. The White Sox announced the visit on social media with a play on words: “From the pitch to a first pitch!” Chicago Fire also published a reaction.

Videos with Lewandowski spread online.
