17-year-old pupil who said he planned to “do something bad at school” detained in Sierpc

In Sierpc (Masovian Voivodeship) police detained a 17-year-old third-year secondary school pupil. According to police, he told peers that on 7 October he planned to “do something bad at school”. A teacher reported this to police and a few hours later the teenager was detained at home.

During a search a bag with two knives was found. According to Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński, his phone contained searches for information on how to organise an attack.

Prosecutors in Płock said the teenager has been charged with making threats (Article 190 of the Criminal Code) and remains in custody. More than ten witnesses have been questioned.
