German police detained a third person who may be linked to the arson of a Starlink station in Wola Krobowska, near Grójec, in Masovian Voivodeship. RMF FM correspondent Krzysztof Zasada reported that the detention took place in Berlin during an operation by German counter-terrorism officers. According to the radio, the detainee is a woman who, according to investigators, may have been the driver of two Turkish citizens detained earlier in Germany.
The detainee may have helped with movement and escape after the arson and provided logistical support. German media, including Bild, describe the operation of the SEK special unit in the Berlin district of Staaken, on Blasewitzer Ring street. A Mercedes car was seized and sent for forensic examination.
Some German media describe the detainee as a man. Official statements from Polish authorities so far confirm the details of the detention of the two main suspects, but do not explain this discrepancy.
Earlier, German authorities detained two Turkish citizens in Nürtingen, in Baden-Württemberg, at the request of Polish authorities. Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński stressed that the materials were prepared by the Polish police, the Internal Security Agency and the prosecutor's office. Polish authorities say that after transfer to Poland the men will be charged with sabotage and acting for foreign intelligence.
