Nawrocki postpones visit to Saudi Arabia over the security situation in the region

The planned visit of Polish President Karol Nawrocki to Saudi Arabia has been postponed, Marcin Przydacz said. The reason is the decision by the organisers of the Future Investment Initiative summit in Riyadh to move the event because of the current security situation in the region.

On Monday the organisers confirmed that the conference, scheduled for 26–29 October, is postponed until next year. A new date is to be announced soon.

The postponement is linked to intensified attacks by Yemen's Houthis. October attacks on Riyadh airport killed more than ten people and injured several hundred; the airport was closed for the whole of last week.
