Doctor from the Southern Hospital Dawid K. is charged

Charges in the Southern Hospital case in Ursynów have been brought against doctor and former district councillor for KO Dawid K. His lawyer Jacek Dubois confirmed this. The district prosecutor's office is running two investigations: into fraud of more than half a million zloty and into abuse of authority by a public official. Prosecutors promised to give details at a press conference on Wednesday.

In addition, prosecutors are conducting an inquiry at the hospital's mortuary on suspicion of so-called managerial bribery and desecration of bodies.

Dawid K. is a resident doctor; last year he earned 1.6 million zloty, which became known from his declaration as an Ursus district councillor. According to media reports, he engaged in politics during his shifts. He was dismissed from the hospital, left KO and gave up his seat.
