PKP Intercity said that from 17 January 2027, 128 long-distance trains (EIP, EIC, IC and TLK) will begin stopping at the temporary Warsaw Ulrychów stop. The stop is being built under the viaduct on ul. Górczewska, about 300 metres from the Ulrychów station of the M2 metro line. Plans include two platforms on either side of the viaduct, lifts and stairs, and new entrances from ul. Grodkowska and ul. Górczewska.

The stop is needed for the duration of the modernisation of Warsaw East Station (Dworzec Wschodni): most long-distance trains will be diverted along the bypass line via Warszawa Gdańska and Ulrychów. The cost of the works is estimated at about 3 billion zł. The station will get seven platforms of the same height, escalators and lifts, and a new underpass beneath platform 6. The Warszawa Stadion station will also be modernised.

It is not reported when exactly the station will close: the rebuild will begin only after the Ulrychów stop opens. Trams and buses are not mentioned in the article; the only change described is the diversion of long-distance trains.
